Re: [ATM] Is ATMing really disappearing?



The LVAAS TM group (Allentown, PA) has about 20 members, of those, 
probably 10 have built a telescope. Not necessarily ground the optics, but 
built something. The rest are 'thinking about it'. The point though, is that of 
those people, I am only aware of one other member of our society that is on 
the ATM List, even though it has been mentioned multiple times in our 
monthly email meeting notice.

Also from a local perspective, when I joined our ATM group about 20 years 
ago, there were 10 or less people that actively built scopes. I would guess 
that the average age of our group now is about the same as it was then, or 
possibly a bit lower now.
