The deepest definition of a circle is that it is infinitely symmetrical -
the most symmetrical object that we can conceive. It can be rotated and
reflected continuously. That's why the ancients favored circles and
epicycles to describe the motion of the planets. If you are looking for a
geometric solution to finding the center, then you might look to the ancient
Egyptians - their math is advanced and fascinating.
