It may be not easy to keep glass centered and rotated.
Even if it is perfect circle there will be very likely three circles due to
center displacement.
The method can be improved by putting two pins on the board 90 degrees
apart,
and rotate glass, maintaining contact with pins. Perfect circle, unmovable
pins
and perfectly sharp pencil should then result in single trace.
