I agree with Mike - test data would help. One thing that the test data
would tell the experts on this list that Mike didn't mention is how low is
the low zone and how high is the edge. It could be that all the different
strokes and spell lengths might have cancelled each other out or just
weren't enough if the deviations are really large. In general, it's better
to guess what specific action might work, do it for a measured length of
time, test again and see if that spell did the job. All the old pros kept
a notebook with such data (spell's stroke and time, test readings and
result) for progress and saved for the next mirror.
