I tried converting the S&T program from the original Pascal into
VB but gave up on it when I found a lot of character errors in
the text.  The program really needs to be updated with some
interactivity that is easily available with a windoz program.  I
hate the one shot approach that this program has, it should have
had a built in ability to put the data to disk and be able to
edit that data at the minimum.  There is also a huge dearth of
error messages as there is no range checking on any of the
calculations and thus you just get the interpeter barf and a
return to the DOS prompt.  Checking of the values put into a
calculation are very much needed when you do programs like this
as a neophyte has no idea of what the near proper values should
be.
