Sorry, I gave the wrong info regarding the final grits I used.  It was 16 wets of 15 micron, and then I finished with 18 wets of 9 micron (not 25 micron).  You had me worried!  I checked the ATM list this morning at work, and was scratching my head the whole day trying to remember whether I had done it backward.  But I checked my log book when I got home, and I did it right (sigh of relief).

I have been applying downward pressure while polishing for at least the last six hours of polishing.  The Ronchi test looks good, except for a turned edge maybe 2 mm wide.

I will try polishing a few more hours and see what happens.  Thanks for the advice.
