You probably live near the ocean. That's electrolytic
corrosion, pretty hard to get rid of. Bronze hardware
in aluminum seems to work better, and passive
stainless steel (300 series, 308 or 316 is good) work
pretty good. Stay away from galvanized bolts
occupying space with aluminum threads.
