I would expect that something like "Abbe number" would translate
exactly that way, specifically the name Abbe with a seperate word
for number.  The reason for this is that I understand that Abbe
is the person that derived that number and as such would be a
seperate word in any language.  Then again, I may be all wet on
this one.
