I'd just leave them plain and shiny, like we do with
wire spiders.  You probably wouldn't be able to get
paint to adhere for long to the stainless, anyway.  I
would think your main difficulties would come viewing
bright objects; DSOs aren't likely to be a problem as
long as the tube extends far enough that the EP
doesn't see a brightly-illuminated vane.
