I should have added that the mirror appears to have been worked with a very
hard lap.  There is more than a zone near the edge. The Foucault shows areas
that are flat at the edge and intervening areas with turn down. The flats
compare with the lows in the interferogram.

Impressive that you can see what appears to be large
deviations compared to a Foucault that looks to be
a very nice parabola.

I am curious if you could mark some of the extreme deviations
found in the interferogram against the Foucault?

I would also be interested in any info on your homemade rig....
