Keep in mind I stress short figuring sessions, in almost all situations. A
few situations require more. The lap does not have time to heat up from the
work and you rotate the lap every step around so if you only go around once
or twice each position on the lap only gets used once or twice. The bulk of
the heat generated is under the pressure.
That is part of what I didn't like about the "new TM book". But I suppose
that is a matter of method. They warm the lap or work long periods. I
don't. So their strokes might not work for me, and for sure mine will not
work for them for that reason. I will try their way sometime when I have
relatively small mirror that will not work me to death learning new
techniques.
I'll hold my criticism until I have tried their strokes in the specified
conditions.
