Why burned in holes and pegs? Pieces of flint and sandstone could have
been used to cut and file the wood to make good strong dovetail joints.
And plant pigmentation for paint, HA! No protection there. How about ten
or fifteen coats of hand rubbed beeswax. And I ain't even going to ask
about how he made the bearings. :^)
