I'm ashamed of you. 

You used screws and glue to build that mount! And
Plywood too! Using your own stated rules and logic,
you should have grown your own hardwood forest, felled
the trees with stone axes (is that too modern?), used
burned-in holes and pegs for assembly and dried plant
leaves for pigmentation of the paint...

Come now, Confess to taking shortcuts and we'll
forgive you your sins... ;0)
