Re: [ATM] re: Cutting 3/4" Plate glass
Hi Bill,
Couple of choices,
Score it on only 1 side with a GOOD glass cutter, then use a cold chisel
to give it a good wack under the score.
The next one assume you have a machine shop (lathe will do).
You can buy from National Diamond band saw blade that is diamond in very
coarse grit.(40 grit is what I used)
Make a holder that will chuck up into a drill press that will accept the
band saw blade, I have made large core drills this way.
Use a couple of dowel pins to keep the blade in place and with the right
curvature on the blade you make an inexpensive core drill.
If I remember they sell the blade by the foot for around $15.00, my 6"
core drill I made cost around $30.00 (my labor is free of course)
Hope this helps,
Pete
