[ATM] sagitta difference (was ATM Digest, Vol 17, Issue 10)
Actually it is 3 votes for 3.228 mm. Arjan's formula for the sphere's sag
is correct but the calculation was off. It should be 461.6 mm instead of
929.8 mm. Calculators can be VERY disagreeable if an operation is still
pending when starting a new calculation. Just like they say: measure twice,
cut once; they might also say: calculate once, verify twice.
Don
PS: see how easy it is to change a meaningless Digest subject (ATM Digest,
Vol 17, Issue 10) to something with meaning! Please do it when replying to
a digest.
