Under an extreme load, there is the possibility of crippling, the
flattening of the cross section until failure. This can be prevented by
inserting disks spaced approx. 3x the internal diameter apart.
In this case, there is NO WAY you can put enough load (moment) on the
member to initiate this type of failure. You would need a load capable
of crushing the tubing itself, and 6061 aluminum will take a lot of
abuse!
