Of course magnesium toughens aluminum.  I know that.  At least I know that
I knew it.  And I know it again, so there.  Now what was it I know I knew I
knew?

I tried to make some Mach's magnalium (69Al+31Mg) and succeeded, sorta.  As
the liquid metals alloy it gets sticky.  My desire to stir the mix a bit
more gave it the opportunity to ignite.  That was about a year ago.  I've
planned what I believe will be more successful attempt.  But, even though
watching it go was entertaining, I don't think I'm entirely over my
disappointment.
