[ATM] Re: Sucker rod, etc.

Gary,

The boxes chock full of the magazines represented about two hundred pounds
of weight- the airplane would have climbed a lot more briskly on one
magneto, minus the weight of those two hundred lbs of mnagazines; the plain
fact is that the STUPID GUY AT THE CONTROLS had the responsibility of making
sure that the magneto selector was on "BOTH"; idiot me, I didn't.

I do think God looks out for fools, drunks, and airheaded blondes (I have a
friend who is one of these, truly, and no one else in the world will save
her from her idiocy) and guys who will not be responsible behind the yoke
(or stick; I have owned both kinds) of airplanes. Once, over Tulsa,
Oklahoma, I FELT SOMEONE TAPPING on my left shoulder. When I looked, a large
Beechcraft was bearing down on me, same altitude, intersection course, TWO
SECONDS AWAY FROM ME.

Here I still am.

Davey

P.S. I am going to write up the wonderful, huge Lazy Susan bearing platform
right away. I am afraid to do this; Dobsonian builders might want to trade
their teflon azimuth bearings for this one (probably not- never did anything
that remarkable in my life)-

Be well, Gary-

Dave
