Hi Ken,
After reading all the responses to my question I decided that building a
more complicated cell wasn't the answer.  Making the one I have work is the
route I am taking.  I also shipped off the mirror to be coated today.  In
the two weeks it takes to get it back, I will attempt to discover and solve
the problem with my mirror cell.

BTW - I had many problems making a 10" thin mirror as my first project and I
am not well suited to deal with problems, but I did get it done, and
realized a 24 year dream.  In 1980 I promised myself a 10" telescope while
looking through a 4.25" telescope that was badly in need of recoating.  I
still wouldn't have one had I not decided to build it myself, many thanks to
those on this list who provided guidance, encouragement, and sometimes much
needed prodding to finish it.
