Re: plop auto cell 36 and 54 points bugfix [was: Re: [ATM] mirrorcell design]

All...

It seems to me that we are again talking about things
that can be computed and worried about which will
never be seen or felt in the real world.

Multi levels of triangles, each pivoted and carrying
another ( or several) levels of triangles are fine in
the computer but here in the real world, manufacturing
tolerances are going to negate the good effects of the
second or third layer of triangles.

Remember that we are talking of glass expansion and
bending in the sub nano-meter range and you are
building triangles and tilt mechanisms with parts that
have tolerances that are a thousand or a million times
worse not to mention the thermal and gravitational
effects on these dozens of "PLOP OPTIMIZED" cell
parts.

Sometimes it's good to step back and do a reality
check. The original plan was to build a telescope and
use it to view the Universe... Simplicity went away
when the first shortcut came into play. "Let's save a
few dollars or a few pounds by using xxxx instead of
the normal xxxx" After that, the savings disappeared
as well as the chance to realize the original plan.
You each have to decide if you want to build the
telescope or push the envelope.

Clear Skies to those that have decided to build their
scopes. The others don't need them.
