[ATM] re:" Render unto Caesar"

White "carpenter's" glue does a nice job with Styrofoam and fibreglass.
Remember that this glue is an acrylic+water base and the water must
evaporate out meaning it cannot be used to glue large surfaces which do not
breathe. My estimate of water content is about 60 % based on forgetting to
cap off a bottle, this would mean many coats brushed on the surface at 4
hour intervals using fine weave glass. Finished tube surface can be painted
with acrylic paint available at artist's supply store. Have you considered
using urethane foam instead? It is available in sheet form just like
Styrofoam and will not be affected by hydrocarbon solutions. Boat builders
use this material exclusively.
