Re: [ATM] sonotube coating

Hi all,
If I sounded like I abused the 10", that isn't quite true. But the thin
aluminum skin over the sonotube is only .008" thick. It dents and scratches
too easily, and those imperfections are there to stay. I am looking for a
way to make the new tube more resistant to dents and scuffing. I am done
experimenting, so I won't be drilling any more holes and the final position
of the mounting holes for mirror cell, spider, focuser, and finder scope
have all been established. Now I want to build a beautiful scope, like my
16" scope, that I can show to people and be proud of. How do you make a
sonotube beautiful and tough at the same time?
Clear skies, Jerry
