Ask yourself, do you feel lucky?

Consider that the polishing work scales with the area
of the tool, and /that/ scales with the square of the
mirror radius.  6:16 is 7 times, 8:18 is 5 times - do
the parts look like they're overbuilt 10 times for
strength?  And that's not addressing off-center
forces, which is what will kill your machine...
