The biggest thing to remember is that this is going to be a voyage of
discovery of a whole lot of things.  The mirror making may end up being
boring in a number of areas (pushing a piece of glass about for 3 hours can
be a bit boring!) with some frustrating/exciting points when you finally get
to test that surface that you made on the glass.  I will say this much, when
you get done with the mirror, you will have a pride of having built
something so delicate that all of your neighbors may become irritated at you
desire to show it to them.
The rest of the telescope will be easy compared to the making of the
mirrors, at least it is to me.
