Denstone sounds like a trademark for that manufacturer's brand of dental
stone.  As such, and if it is indeed sold for the use by dentists, it will
work just fine.  If you are worried, take a tablespoon or so of the stuff
and turn it into a chunk and see if it turns slimy when put into water for a
day or it dissolves in the water.  If it doesn't even turn slimy, it will be
just fine.
