Overinsulating an oven just means that the temp drop will be slower than
otherwise and, if you desire to do so, a venting port can be opened if you
want that fast drop - just remember to close it when you want the slower
drops in temp.
Annealing temps are pretty well defined for any particular glass and that is
the only point where you need to go really slow with the temp drop.
