Re: ATM advice on turning pro?
Hi Micheal:
I don't know enough about the professional side of optics etc...
I left engineering to teach engineering in College, better deal for the family, my wife has more time for her writing career. Hardly a day goes by where I don't think of a career change - I even mentioned Astronomy to my wife. She pointed out, quite correctly, that my love for ATM and Astronomy ( two years of obsessive behaviour and counting) might fade if it was my job and not my hobby/passion/release/escape. As a career there would be additional pressures and requirements
placed upon you.
As my hobby I look forward to every aspect, I can persue any project or whim without worrying about approval from customers/owners/stock holders or the like. If I don't like something, I scrap it and start over. I report or am accountable to nobody (unless my wife sees the VISA Bill ! :) ).
Welcome to Canada ( where recently not only are smiles infectious - but so are the people and the beef !!!! :):):):)
