I don't know what the test setup is but on a mirror that large, the offsets
should be very small relative to the distances involved.
You may also note that the error also shows up in the Foucault images on the
page.
The mirror is a thick mirror so it shouldn't need a lot of support to do the
testing but one thing that they can do is to put the mirror onto a good
support and test at an angle so the mirror is laying on the back supports
although I don't think that this will affect the results in the end.
