I unfortunately replied privately to Jerry on another way to do the test
(starting multiple threads tends to make for incomplete answers to
questions!) where two sources are used very close to each other on the
Hartmann test. Unfortunately I neglected to think of the small hole problem
when you get so small that all you see is the diffreaction disk rather than
the image of the source.
The test that I am looking at states that the FL of the mask should be in
the 100:1 range tothe FL of the "telescope" made by the test. Get too much
smaller for a hole and the diffraction takes over and larger and the zones
tend to shrink in quantity.
