COC is also (and more commonly) the paraxial center of curvature, which is
the point in space where paraxial rays come to focus when the source is
also at the CoC.
Most atm's misuse the terms RoC and CoC. One is a length and the other a
point in space. For some reason the distinction seems to elude most people.
