I bought the UO 80mm refractor kit just recently, and have been using it to test out my CCD CookBook Camera. I have it mounted piggyback on my 10" Newtonian - I use the 10" as a finder for the CCD + 80mm!

The 80mm scope itself is fairly well made. The focuser is very sturdy - it handles the CCD camera with ease and there is plenty of back focus. The rack and pinion is very smooth and the screw-on eyepiece adapters allow quick changes from 1 1/4" to 2" eyepieces.

I've only used it one night (darn California rain), so I really can't comment on the optics although my CCD images from that one night seem fine.

The only probably that I had during assembly was that the lenses had finger prints on them, and the lens retaining ring locked up on the lens cell while I was screwing it down. A very tiny bit of machine oil helped out there.
