Mel, it is a good idea to have reservations at Motel 6 or the like on Thursday night to be able to get in line for getting in on Friday morning. It is kinda a mad dash. I believe you can get your trailer into center field where the vendors will be.
I usually go down I-5 to about Button Willow, turn left to Bakersfield, to Mojavi, to Hwy 395, to Victor Ville, throught Apple Valey and Lucern AND then up the mountain to Big Bear City (a nice steep climb). turn left at the gas station (chevron) a couple miles to Motel 6. I think some of us will be eating at Thelma's for supper and breakfast.
Friday at about noon or 1:00 the feeding frenzy begins. It is a sight to behold - the vendors open up for sales, mostly used and discounted blem(s). Saturday is the swap just out from the cafeteria with maybe 20 to 30 (probably high in count) offering their wares (some of which they got on friday ant much lower prices). This, feeding frenzy/swap, is worth the price of admission. It is guys like Rich Combs and a few others/speakers that make the long weekend worth it.
