I have a couple of Tele Vue plossles (17mm and 10.5), a 1.8x Tele Vue barlow and a 27mm Meade MA that came with my refractor. I ordered a new 27mm Pan Optic from Chuck Dethloff (noted NW character and owner of Telescopes and More) and hope to get it tonight at the Rose City Astronomers monthly meeting.

For the group as a whole - this is a much faster scope (f/4.7) than I am used to. My refractor is an f/11... The views through the 10.5 and even the 27mm MA were OK on the new scope given the light pollution and the collimation. Where am I likely to have the most trouble, and need fancy eyepieces - at high magnification or low? I bought the Pan Optic mostly for the wide field, and because things were *so* nice through it on Chuck's 24" :-).

Good luck on the finder. All I had mounted on Saturday was the Telrad. I feel crippled without the Telrad - highly recommended, no matter what kind of finder scope you have.
