Armor All Lubricant

Just thought I would pass along some additional armor-all comments.
Dave Kriege suggested I use a mixture of half and half armor-all
and silicone based paste auto wax on my obsession bearings. It really
slicks thing up (almost too much) and seems to last a while. I would
expect that the addition of the car wax lengthens the effectiveness/life
of the mixture.
One more tip, I covered a thin metal kitchen spatula with
a thin velvet layer - I squirt the armor-all mixture onto the pad and
then insert the thin spatula into the thing gap between rocker box
and ground board. I can now just spin the telescope and coat the
Ebony Star. This is an easy way to get the lubricant into a
difficult area. Of course, the altitude bearing surfaces are much
more accessible.
