Typical interesting surface from pads.The little bit of pitch
owrk sohws how close the surface really is to a sphere in truth.
As you have found, the intent of using pads isn't to get a nice
sphere but rather just to get the glass polished out to where a
short time with pitch will make the perfect sphere.
