*IF* of course the eye pupil is a limiting factor. If you're observing
with a 10mm eyepiece in an f/5.1 scope, you don't need an eye pupil
that goes wider than 2mm to let all the rays enter, at least with
optimal eye placement (the rays outside of the exit pupil
are clipped by the entrance pupil, i.e. the primary mirror in a Newt).
Of course, things like blackout and kidney
beaning will affect you more if the eye is *not* placed optimally,
if you have a small eye pupil, so it may make viewing less comfortable.
