I agree it's a good book with nice explanations about glass types,
subsurface damage, and many other topics.
Of course most of the text is geared toward making spherical surfaces,
and doesn't speak to figuring of an aspheric concave mirror. I also
disagree with some of his statements regarding the various stroke
types. I believe the author says he's made a few lenses and a couple
of small mirrors, so given that limited experience he has done an
exceptional job with the book and all of the detail and useful
information it contains.

This particular 1u I got from a friend who wasn't using it, but it
originally came from Universal Photonics. I think they have a ~$100
minimum order, though, so put together an order with a friend (or
friends) and stock up on Microgrit!
