Sounds like a good sequence.  If they are nicely diamond generated 
flat, 320 is a good place to start, but try 500 first - you might find 
that after one wet you have the disks nearly in contact, and you can 
start there.  If not, simply back up to 320.

Spend lots of time at 15u to make sure all carbo pits are gone.  Then 
9u will go quite quickly.  You could probably go directly to 5u if you 
had an excellent grind at 15u.

I like 25u, 12u, 5u, 3u, 1u for grinding glass on glass (stop at 5u 
for tile/plaster tools).  Quality 1 micron grit produces a surface 
that is beautiful to behold, and polishes very quickly.
