Re: [ATM] Fringe XP and flats

Thanks Steve - I had a quick peek at your files and this sounds like what I
was looking for all right. I'd be very interested to get this up and running
and would be grateful for any help. We have a long weekend coming up (St.
Patrick's day is tomorrow!) so I'm going to get a bit more work done on my
flats... between pints!

Phil.

I probably should have said more in my first response. I have
implemented both the Veeco and Ai/Wyant absolute flat algorithms,
using Zernike terms as input. You might look in my folder Steve
Koehler/Files/Flat Testing in the interferometry group (I see you are
a member there). When I was fooling around with these algorithms, I
found a number of improvements that make them more robust in the
presence of noise.

If you are interested in pursuing this, I would be happy to get you
set up to run the programs. You have to install the R language, and
the programs are command-line only. On the plus side, R produces very
nice graphical output of the results, or you could import Zernikes
back into OpenFringe or FringeXP.
