No need to apologize.

I borrowed notation and sign & other data entry conventions from 
Wilson's "Reflecting Telescope Optics." That also makes data entry 
compatible with Zemax or OSLO. Probably that's confusing to ATMs who 
were raised on Texereau and perhaps Rutten & vanV.
