Well, I'm definitely going to work out the whole baffling thing 
graphically to ensure that I didn't make any further mistakes ;-)

I cut out some blanks for Newton secondaries before ( 
http://www.otterstedt.de/atm/newton-10/flat.html ), but I have no 
experience in cutting thicker glass. I plan to first go half through the 
mirror from the back. After polishing and figuring I want to finish 
cutting the hole from the front side.
