That last one sounds like the most important reason, isn't that why we

Well for these reasons in no order of importance.
By using the nasmyth focus i can bring the focal plane into the tube.
This shrinks the secondary down in size and then by folding the light
cone down I can bring the focal plane to a more comfortable position.
By using a gregorian instead of a newtonian I can do away with the large
counterweight that hangs out in the way.
The gregorian will give me excellent contrast with minimal aberrations
across the visual field.
Being a member of the Springfield Telescope Makers it somehow seems
appropiate to build one.
I really really want one.
