[ATM] TDE?

Hi,
I'm figuring a 12.5" F5 mirror, and I'm getting mixedmessages about a turned 
edge.  Ronchi shows nothing,but shouldn't I see a relatively bright 
difraction ring around the outside of the mirror?  Right now I only see it 
on the oposite side from the knife edge. (I'm using a slitless tester).
Foucault readings actually show the outer zones to be a bit high.
And using the "pinhole and eyepiece" test from the Ingalls ATM book 1, I get 
a spread out image inside focus and a kind of "ring nebula" image outside 
focus.
