Yes, your supposed to burnish it, nower days I would recommend using
synthetic chamois instead of the natural seeing as the natural has
entrapped grit from the "fluffing" operation which the synthetic doesn't
have. I don't recall the exact details, but Tex does go into quite a lot
of detail on this...

Somewhere, I believe, I read (I think) possibly in the old Albert
Ingalls
ATM books, I remember that one is supposed to do a "burnishing"
operation
after silvering, something about compressing the coating, with a
chamois, to
increase the shiny-ness. Did I dream this?
