Good point.

The flammability issue is still very real though.  That flash point of
less than negative 26F and the explosive limits of 1.9 to 36% are pretty
scary.  Wide explosive limits are always a bad sign and flash points
below zero in either scale mean avoiding a flammable vapor situation is
practically impossible.   Put it this way:  I am, by training and quite
a few years of employment, a lab chemist.  I'm not going to be using
collodion dissolved in a high ethyl ether solvent in my home or shop,
and if I were going to use it in a lab, I would be sure to use it in a
good fume hood with ignition sources carefully excluded.  That is how
smart chemists get to be old chemists.  (I may not be the former, but I
am much nearer the latter than I would like.)
