[ATM] Large Government Corning Disks

  To all on the list,   I think that all are missing the point of the sale 
of these surpluss "corning" disk's.
     If you are looking for a finished work of art in a surplus government 
auction, go play the lottery.     I believe the initial posting was to alert 
mirror makers to a deal on "Pyrex" mirror blanks, and you make the fantastic 
mirror yourself. If you are bidding on something like this you will take the 
risk and win or loose a deal with the outcome. If you have not seen in 
person the merchandise I would assume it would be hard to judge a glass disk 
by "pixels" on a screen of your computer.  It basically comes down to what 
would you pay for this item, highest bidder gets the pig in the poke or the 
jewel of the nile, and if you are not willing to bid with cash you cannot 
tell anyone else what the final product is...

                    These 4 blanks are no doubt gone and will be for sale at 
much more money than listed on the surplus discount sale... Last I saw the 
highest bid was over $800.00, even at that that $200.00 for a 24 inch 
blank.... I'll buy that!! even at a gamble....
