[ATM] cheap scope

hello all


a friend of mine brought a 3" Newtonian telescope for me .i had 
given up on care package :( so i accepted the cheap departmental 
scope as something is better than nothing. it is giving me better 
results than i was expecting from it. i have seen phases of Venus,
moons of Jupiter and rings of Saturn till now 
   now i am interested in seeing deep sky objects. i know a 3" 
Newtonian telescope has its limitations but what are possibilities 
of seeing deep sky objects such as galaxies etc in it?
