Re: [ATM] polish question,, is it done?



I often use a red laser pointer on the edge. I'll move it from the edge 
toward the center and observe whether the density of pits changes.  An even 
polish means that the surface at the center will be as polished as the 
surface at the edge.  A laser pointer is a good tool for determining this. 
You can operate under the assumption that your center is polished out and 
that the edge is more likely to need more work.
