Re: [ATM] two mirror folded newtonian
Hi Gary
We might but our Center does not have a lot of "glass pushers".
Me and a couple of others. Before we go there I'd like to make sure this
folded model is really out of the question.
Also if we do that we will not be able to build the dual upper
cage and keep the long focal length that a few of us are still drooling
over. Some of us would have loved to have this mirror in a full
planetary optimized scope (read 8ft newt) but we are compromising with
the needs of the center instead of the wants of a few.
Thanks
Shawn

Hello Shawn,
I haven't followed this thread fully so apologize if this has
already come up.
A friend has a 12" f8 - a real pain to handle. Would you be
interested in refiguring the mirror to something faster/shorter
for a standard Newtonian, or perhaps Cassegrain design if it
could be done for very little cost?
Regards,
Gary Fuchs
