Meade used to sell a field derotator for LX200s being used with altaz 
mounts (maybe they still do).  The feeling I got from comments on the Meade 
user group email list was that they didn't work very well, and it was much 
better to go with an equatorial mount.  I'd say it would be best to go with 
a wedge, considering all the work involved in a big RC.
